1. Introduction

Welcome to GlobalTeachingBlock AI ('GTB AI', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), operated at globalteachingblock.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. By using our website and services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and profile picture provided when you sign in via Google OAuth or Manus OAuth.
  • Usage data: the grades, subjects, strands, and skills you select when generating lessons, and how you interact with the platform.
  • Generated content: lesson plans you create are saved to your account history.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe Customer ID and subscription status — never your full card details.
  • Contact submissions: name, email, subject, and message when you use the Contact Us form.
  • Cookies and tracking data: session cookies for authentication, and advertising cookies via Google AdSense on our blog pages (see Cookies and Advertising section below).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the GTB AI lesson generation service.
  • To save your lesson history so you can revisit and reprint past lessons.
  • To manage your subscription and process payments through Stripe.
  • To respond to your support enquiries through our contact system.
  • To send you important service updates and account notifications (no marketing emails without your consent).
  • To serve relevant advertisements on our blog pages through Google AdSense.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Cookies and Advertising (Google AdSense)

  • Essential cookies: required for the site to function, including your login session cookie.
  • Advertising cookies: our blog pages use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads, or by visiting aboutads.info/choices.
  • For visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, we use Google's Consent Management Platform (CMP) to obtain your consent before serving personalised ads. You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Ads are only displayed on our blog pages and do not appear inside the lesson generation dashboard or on account pages.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Stripe: processes all payments. See stripe.com/privacy for their privacy policy.
  • Google: handles authentication via Google OAuth and serves advertising via Google AdSense. See policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Manus: provides hosting, authentication infrastructure, and AI services.
  • Amazon Web Services (S3): used for secure file and asset storage.
  • AI Language Model: lesson content is generated using an AI model. Your curriculum selections (grade, subject, strand, skill) are sent to the model. No personally identifiable information is included in AI prompts.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure session management, and access controls. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and lesson history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and lesson history will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting compliance.

8. Your Rights

  • Access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: you may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated data ('right to be forgotten').
  • Portability: you may request an export of your lesson history in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection: you may object to processing of your data for direct marketing or advertising purposes.
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent (e.g., personalised ads), you may withdraw it at any time.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

GTB AI is designed for use by educators, teachers, and parents — not directly by children. The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including the use of Standard Contractual Clauses where required by GDPR.
